El Mirador de Cerro Gordo was originally buit as a small farmhouse.
This tiny road was once the main road from Malaga to Granada and Almeria, and then The Mirador was a typical and very traditional Spanish roadside restaurant and bar.

Kevin and Alix took over the running of the Mirador in 2004 and nowadays the windy road is the home of the rich and famous. There are superb views of the rugged cliffs and secluded beaches.

The Natural Park of Cerro Gordo is home to mountain goats and wild boar, and is an unspoilt haven for a wide variety of birds. There are many wild flowers and herbs that scent the hillsides, and we see dolphins in the bay. A path runs beside the restaurant to one of the best preserved of the many towers that are seen all along the coast. From here the views are awe-inspiring.

The sunsets bring people back to this place. In summer the sun sets over the hills of Malaga, and in winter it sinks slowly into the sea.

Every one is different, but all are beautiful….
